I will dispense with the usual "get to know me" kind of introduction. I will, however, begin my stating the purpose of this Blog. I am going to use this space to write and discuss various topics I find interesting, troubling, or just needs to be talked about. There can be a wide range of topics deposited here. They may range from Sports to Human and Civil Rights to life in a border town. Those of you who know me, know my tastes and interests are VERY eclectic and sometimes surprising.
Some readers will notice an abundance of posts pertaining to the sport of shooting. I am a beginner "Tactical" shooter. By no means am I a "Sniper" or an accomplished competitive shooter. What I am trying to achieve is a journal, of sorts, that will give me a record of what I have done, where I have been, and what it took to get there.
I am posting this Blog as a means to get the thoughts in my head out for the various points of view I may receive. My pool of friends and family is as varied as my interests. Every point of view on a subject is interesting to me. I have no preconceptions as to what may be brought to the table. It is all of value. If the comment is different from my point of view then I have learned something. And seeing an issue or discussion from another point of view is something I look for on a daily basis.
As for my postings on shooting, I leave these posts for those experienced shooters to critique me, my methods, training, and to give advice on what I can do better. I have many friends and acquaintances that are VERY accomplished Precision, Tactical carbine, and Pistol shooters. I value their experience and any input they bring to this Blog.
For all comments left here, I welcome anything brought to the table of discussion, as long as it pertains to the topic at hand. If what is said is insulting to other readers, unrelated to the discussion topic, deals with anything that could jeopardize others, or is general detrimental to good order, the comment will be deleted.
Please enjoy what you read here, leave a comment for discussion, let me and others know what you think, and most of all don't be afraid to throw out there what is on your mind. If I can do it... so can you!!
Stay in the Fight,

I, for one, wish you would complete what you were writing about your years at VMI. I was totally interested in what you were saying, then you came home, and left us all hanging.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry, eventually I will get back to my VMI stories.
